I know, correlation does not equal causation. But when you see the same trends over, and over, and over again, it’s hard not to see the relationship.

In wake of Citizens United, Dems seek constitutional amendment to define ‘natural person’

It’s ridiculous that we have to even have a conversation about “what is a ‘person’?” It’s like haggling over what the definition of “is” is. (Yes, I went there. It was stupid then and it’s stupid now.)

Let me make it plain for anyone who’s still unclear on the concept: a “person” is a living breathing human being. A “statutory business organization/tax shelter” is not. Any questions?

With Dems like these, who needs Repubs?

West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin is the Democratic candidate for Senate in that state, but you wouldn’t know it to see his latest ad.  You know, the one where he shows off his National Rifle Association endorsement (and his rifle) and proceeds to plug the cap-and-trade bill full of holes?

Wow. 

It just goes to show that while conservative Republicans may have common threads that tie them together, the Democratic party is a cobbled-together group of varied interests that sometimes work at cross-purposes.  And that, my friends, is not always good for business.
